In 2026, the next chapter is set to arrive. The first teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 landed recently, providing a brief look into the plot but leaving fans wondering how it will address the ending of Toy Story 4.
Bonnie's New Toy: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Frightens the Toys
In the teaser reveals the young girl — who received the toy collection when he left for college — getting a brand new toy, one that alarms Woody, Buzz, and the crew. She acquires her initial digital gadget, and she is excited about it.
Presumably, the amphibian-inspired device will come to life just like Bonnie's other toys. Still, the toys appear to consider it as a danger coming to replace them, which it likely will.
The Cowboy's Comeback: Unanswered Questions from Toy Story 4
An element the trailer avoids is what Woody is back with his friends in Bonnie's room. The end of Toy Story 4 depicted him embark on a fresh journey with the shepherdess (the actress), journeying with a fair and helping giveaway items find good homes.
Certainly, Pixar will explain the aftermath of Toy Story 4 in the film. Witnessing him show up in the familiar setting without warning is a little strange, however. It also makes us wonder whether Bo Peep will have returned with Woody. And what about Duke Caboom (the star)?
Connections from the Previous Film
At the very least, some elements are continuing from the earlier movie. The last thing the cowboy did before setting off for his fresh path was hand over his symbol of authority to the cowgirl (the voice actor), entrusting her as the leader of Bonnie's bedroom. In the teaser shows the badge pinned to her outfit.
It is hoped she is remains the key figure among the group.
